Privacy Policy
This policy describes how VerificaBet collects, uses, and protects the personal information you provide when using our platform.
By accessing or using VerificaBet, you agree to the terms of this privacy policy.
1. Information We Collect
We collect only information strictly necessary for the platform to operate and to improve user experience. The information collected may include:
We do not collect sensitive information such as financial data, religious beliefs, sexual orientation, or health information.
- Access data: IP address, browser type, operating system, date and time of access, pages visited, and search terms used.
- Contact information: Name, email, and other information voluntarily provided through our communication channels.
- Alert subscription data: Email, interest profile (optional), selected alert type, preferred language, country of origin (via IP geolocation), and anonymized IP hash for audit and abuse-prevention purposes.
2. Verifica-Widget Partner Data
When you apply to the Verifica-Widget partner program, we collect the following information:
Registration data
Full name, email address, password (stored as a hash), company or media outlet name, URL of the website where the widget will be used, channel type (news portal, blog, app, educational platform, institutional initiative or other), and use justification.
Purpose
Data is used exclusively for eligibility analysis, request approval or rejection, generation of access credentials (API key), operational communications related to the partner program, and prevention of misuse.
Retention
If approved, data is retained for as long as the partnership remains active and for up to 24 months after termination. If rejected, data is retained for up to 12 months after the rejection date for audit purposes and to prevent repeated attempts, after which it is deleted or anonymized.
Sharing
Partner data is not shared with third parties, except when required to comply with legal obligations.
API key
The generated access credential is displayed in full only once, at the moment of approval. After that, only the key prefix is shown on the platform. The partner is responsible for storing it securely.
Data from visitors of partner sites
The Verifica Widget does not collect personal data from visitors to the partner's site. Queries made by visitors are processed anonymously on VerificaBet's servers. Recorded telemetry is strictly aggregated: query volume per partner key, without IP addresses, device identification or any data that could identify the visitor. Telemetry records are retained for up to 12 months, after which they are deleted or irreversibly anonymized. The partner has no access to individual query records — only to aggregated usage metrics for their own key.
