Blocking orders for betting domains

Every blocking order issued by Brazil’s Ministry of Finance and passed to internet providers since January 2025, with the date of each and what VerificaBet measured afterwards.

The order is an act of the authority; the situation beside it is a VerificaBet measurement from specific network vantage points, each with its date. Blocking is applied by each provider — the same address may fail to open on one and open on another. Appearing in the order does not guarantee the address is offline, nor that it remains online.

Source of the orders: response to a freedom-of-information request addressed to Brazil’s Ministry of Finance. ANATEL passes the orders to providers and stated, in the same response, that drawing up lists of betting sites is not within its remit. The per-provider situation comes from a DNS query made from inside the corresponding access network, compared against a neutral resolver to separate a block from a non-existent domain.
